Airopeek Driver Installation:

The following page describes the process required to install the Airopeek custom driver which is required prior to use of Airopeek NX.  It is only necessary to carry out this procedure the first time you run the Airopeek tool, after the first time Airopeek will automatically swap between your normal wireless card driver and the Airopeek driver when you open and close the tool.

Before we begin you need to ensure an Airopeek driver is available for your card, the list of supported cards is available here.

The first step is to open device manager > right click on your wireless card > "Update Driver..."

Next you should ensure that "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" is selected > click Next.

Now you should choose the "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." option > click Next.

Next, from the Hardware Update Wizard you should select "Have Disk..."

You will now have to browse to the following folder "Program Files > WildPackets > Airopeek NX > Driver".  From here you will need to enter the appropriate folder for your wireless card e.g. "Atheros AR5001" and double click the relevant .inf driver file, followed by OK > Next and "Continue Anyway" to accept any driver signing warnings.

Your wireless card will now appear in Capture Options > Adapter, select the card and click OK.  Now "Start Capture" to test out your new driver.

As already mentioned the Airopeek driver will be removed and replaced with your standard wireless card driver when you close Airopeek and automatically restored when you restart Airopeek.
