Airsnort Installation:

The following installation process assumes that you are utilising the Auditing Laptop Build as described in the Auditing Laptop Build: HOWTO 

Download latest stable code (currently airsnort-[version].tar.gz) from http://airsnort.shmoo.com/ to /tools/wifi

cd /tools/wifi

tar zxvf airsnort-[version].tar.gz (tested on airsnort-0.2.7e.tar.gz)

cd airsnort-[version].tar.gz

./configure

make

make install

/tools/wifi/aircrack-[version]/airmon.sh start [interface] 6  (aircrack's airmon.sh utility is a conveniently quick way of putting the interface into monitor mode)

typing airsnort will start the airsnort interface
