The following installation process assumes that you are utilising the Auditing Laptop Build as described in the Auditing Laptop Build: HOWTO 

Download latest stable code (currently aircrack-2.41.tgz) from http://www.cr0.net:8040/code/network/ to /tools/wifi

cd /tools/wifi

tar zxvf aircrack-[version].tgz

cd aircrack-[version]

make

make install
