Barbelo is a wireless / WI-FI scanner for the Symbian S60 v3 (works great on the Nokia N95!)

It currently supports (version 0.3):

  • Standard Netstumbler/Kismet like functionality

  • GPS support to map networks (requires GPSD - also available from the project homepage)

  • Logging in Kismet (XML) format

In figure 1, Barbelo can be seen displaying:

  • Network SSID

  • Channel Number

  • Encryption method employed

  • Signal Strength

In figure 2,  more detailed signal strength and encryption method are displayed:

In figure 3 the Access Point mode, MAC address and co-ordinates (GPSD required) are displayed

The developer is hoping to implement some Aircrack type functionality and also IP over DNS in future versions, so keep an eye on the homepage for updates.
